January 25th Shetan's New Trick:

You wanna hear something funny and a little bit scary. Shetan's got a new trick

If I miss a couple of days of driving out to the barn, @ the Hunt Estate Shetan will get out of their pasture; walk around to the barn waiting for someone to see him and call me so I can rush out there.

Well I missed going out yesterday and darn if he wasn't out and about today; (I only missed one day! but he's got this all figured out)

Someone else got him to return to the barn and pasture, but tonight not only was he out again but he got Eclipse and Rockin Rita to go with him..(Wulffe stayed at the barn)   This time Shetan didn't meander around the barn but went down the hill in the front of the house and even walked to the end of the driveway.... never stepping out onto the street but I swear he was making sure somebody saw him so they'd call me... then he went down the hill joined the others by the creek and under the street bridge or underpass. (not sure what you call it)

when I got there this evening I was on the cell phone with my friend, Philip. We were about to hang up when I realized there was only 1 horse in the barn: Wulffe! I got so scared.   I asked him to please stay on the phone with me so I didn't feel so alone and he did. 

I gave one yell from the barn and the horses immediately came galloping. It was dark so you couldn't see them, but you could hear them digging up the ground as they flew up the hill!  Didn't Shetan come up to the fence first(on the other side, of course) and just stare at me. I swear he was smiling. 

He looked at me as if to say  "Hey! Glad to see you, What took you so long!"  I cracked up, Sorry, I know I shouldn't laugh but I couldn't help myself, his facial expression was so funny. I felt so relieved. 

Later tonight. while I was throwing hay bales down from the loft above the stalls, this woman appeared out of nowhere at my barn door. We introduced ourselves.  She said she brought the horses back in this afternoon but, this was the first time they were ever out twice in the same day & the first time all 3 were out!.

When I told her my suspicions, she laughed and told me when she saw them under the bridge (just before I got there) she yelled at them to return to the barn... She said Shetan just looked up at her
as if to say.. "who the heck are you" & then ignored her!   

She was right!  His main goal was to get me out there, not anyone else.

I'm being manipulated by a horse!
