[QUOTE] Only part I disagree with is you keep trying to put a time frame of within
the next 24 hours for a response and we both know GOD listens to all prayers in
our time, but he responds to them in His time..[UNQUOTE]

LOL!! I understand, however that's not been my reality. Hopefully, in time, and with practice, you'll get to experience what I've experienced. Only then will you know - truly KNOW, "

Not all prayers need the urgency of a time frame, but some definitely do. It's OK to add a time frame! GOD loves to show off his stuff, so just listen to your spirit & you'll know when a time frame is called for!

Don't get me wrong, asking GOD specifically what you think is important expresses your good intentions, however it represents your wishes, not GOD's. It limits your answer. My goal is to get an answer that's in sync with GOD"S PLAN. I've learned It's important when praying to differentiate between what is in front of me as opposed to whatever is to the highest good.

Before every horse show, I prayed! Never prayed to win; never prayed anything specific. My prayer stayed the same: "Thank you Lord for an encouraging experience". That way, no matter what happened it turned into a positive experience. Can't get better then that, right? The rest was history!

God used my years of experience & growth with "Shetan" to teach me how to pray. He rewarded me when I stayed on the right path and gave me a nudge when I'd amble off the path. If I didn't listen to the nudge, HE'D YELL! I eventually learned to RESPECT THE NUDGES & WHISPERS, because I hated the YELLS.

In retrospect I understand why GOD chose my relationship with Shetan to teach me what I needed to learn. My passion for Shetan was limitless. Absolutely nothing discouraged me. Seriously, NOTHING! I never gave up! In a perfect world, I could apply that same spirit to everything.

Those valuable and very public lessons I endured are worth sharing with you as examples. I'll backup each prayer lesson with

  • Insights
  • What seemed like coincidences NOTE: But we know there are NO coincidences or accidents
  • Actual lessons
  • Prayer successes
  • "Meant to Be" experiences
  • Stories {if you don't like stories, just ignore them!}

I'm feel I'm suppose to share them with you. What you do with the information is up to you, The nice thing is I won't have to ask you to follow your spirit because you already do! If you didn't, you wouldn't still be reading this.

Letting go and letting GOD is one of the biggest hurdles people have to conquer. Don't get discouraged. It''s a life long lesson on so many different levels.

I know, without a shadow of a doubt what he has in mind for me, his plans for me & his sense of timing is so much better then anything I could ever imagine for myself. His plans surpass my greatest imaginations.

"As far as the east is from the west,
so are my ways higher then your ways.
As high as the moon is from the earth,
so are my thoughts higher then your thoughts"

i.e. your prayer to have God help me do something specific was a genuine helpful wish, but my spirit knew right away this was not a prayer that would get an answer. Why you ask?

I could be wrong, but it's my experience when we're specific about wishes for others we're expressing OUR wishes. We don't know if our sincere wishes are in sync with God's plans. THIS IS A DIFFICULT LESSON TO LEARN.

On the bright side: each unanswered prayer gives us an enormous opportunity to pray a different prayer. With every positive experience and every answered prayer we have an opportunity to learn how to pray effectively. What we do with that opportunity or whether we recognize it's value is up to us.

We can't know what GOD has in mind. Maybe 6 months from now we'll look back and see how everything fell into place, according to GOD'S PLAN. he always has something better in store. What I'm going through at this moment is necessary for where I'm going next. You see, only GOD has the right timing. I certainly don't! I just know GOD IS NEVER LATE and HE'S NEVER EARLY! His timing always hits the bulls-eye right on everytime.

We just need to learn to have FAITH. That is a hard lesson for everyone. People say to me "you can't just do nothing and expect GOD to do everything". There's a BIG difference between doing nothing and having FAITH.

"Without faith it is impossible to please GOD"
"All things are possible with GOD"
"Greater is He that is in me then he that is in the world"
&
"Lean not unto thy own understanding, but acknowledge HIM
in all thy ways and he will direct your path "

Respecting and focusing on HIS will always allow you to stay open to recognizing the answer when it comes.

Fervent Prayer: GOD has shown me that prayers that are said with passion, sense of urgency and with great expectancy [FAITH] are answered quicker. Its the sense of urgency he responds too. Pretend your child is asking you for something. What influences your response?

I totally understand how and why you feel it's unfair to put a time frame in my prayers. You haven't had 24 hour answers to prayers that knocked your socks off!

But I got a funny feeling after hearing my stories you'll be more open to the possibility and opportunities for some 24hr ANSWERS of your own. That is, if you truly want them.

My 1st horse "Tahoe" dropped dead from Potomac Horse Fever 9 months earlier. She was magnificient and a hard act to follow! You can see her picture in the left column. It's the 2nd image from the top.

For the next 9 months I rose 2-5 "sale" horses {what I called "surprise packages" b/c you never knew what you were getting] 5-6 days a week for 2 wonderful and colorful Maryland horse dealers [Radie Evans & Ruth Eyler] Radie Evans was the oldest Horse Dealer in the state of Maryland. Ruth Eyler was famous for starting the Thurmont Horse Auction 50 years earlier after she took a stock trailer out west, purchased horses and brought them back for sale. Eyler's auction is still active today in Thurmont,MD offering the opportunity of finding a diamond in the rough..

Ruth's favorite horse in Radie's barn was a handsome, black high spirited horse they referred to as "The Black." Ruth wouldn't let anyone ride him except me. I should feel flattered, but the problem was whenever I showed any fondness for this horse, the next day, Ruth came up with an excuse, why he couldn't be ridden. I finally caught on and lpretended not to care one way or another about "The Black" so I could ride him more often. Even though I'd ridden lots & lots of horse in the 9 months since "Tahoe" died, I never got excited about any of the horses.

Everyone and I mean everyone I knew talked about how they thought I was never going to find another horse. Ruth even said to me one day while we were tacking up: "You've ridden more horses here then anyone but I've never seen you light up over any of them."

I told her, I would light up when the right horse appeared, that it's all IN GOD's HANDS. She looked puzzled, but, left it at that!

wellllll,......

It was on a friday that I FASTED IN PRAYER for the first time in my life. Remember when I told you I used to open my bible every night and whatever was highlighted was always a message for me? for a week I kept opening the Bible to passages mentioning FASTING IN PRAYER// I asked my chiropractor,, who was a christian and my spiritual mentor. He said it sounded like GOD wanted and needed me to Fast in prayer. "God does nothing but in answer to a prayer"

He told me its usually when you want something really badly... told me to spend the day fasting; to read the bible whenever I felt hungry and pray for whatever it is I truly wanted.

GOD works faster when there's passion and a sense of urgency in the prayer.

Friday, I fasted in prayer. I prayed that God would give my brother a change of heart. At thet time, my brother was a fugitive; the police were banging on our door late at night and tapping our phone 24/7 for a couple years, thinking we knew where he was. We didn't! He was making Mom's & my life life tough.

Half way through the day fasting, when staying away from the kitchen was getting harder and harder, I decided if I was going to work this hard , I was going to pray for somethingI REALLY WANTED. hahaha

So I prayed 2 fervent prayers:

I told GOD I wanted HIM to give me a sign within 24 hours whether:

  • HE wanted me to have Ruth's horse: "The Black" or
  • If HE had another horse in mind for me, To bring HIM on!!

Struck me odd when I heard myself say "HIM"
